Smile Hello from London
Hi All

My name is Beverley and I live in London, I'm hoping to set up my VA business in the new year and I'm currently doing my research at the moment. As I work full time I will start my business part time. I cant believe there is so much info out there but I must admit I do prefer forums for knowledge about the VA industry.

I look forward to getting to know you all in the near future

Just curious, what drew you to the industry?

Hi Tess

Thanks for the welcome.

I've been drawn to the industry for one simple reason and that is to be my own boss. With the latest technology that we have at the moment I feel I can offer my services from home, and do things in my own time, theres no feeling guilty if I take time off work if my daughter if my ill or any other appointments if you know what I mean.

Absolutely, I do know what you mean Owning your own practice gives you so much freedom and control over all aspects of your life. It's plenty of work, but so worth it!

Hi Winslowgirl

Thanks for the welcome.

Becoming a VA is something I've always wanted to do for a while now and I've decided to take action and do something about it. I hope to be set up by Jan/Feb and at the moment I'm trying to build my funds so that I can buy new equipment etc.

Right now I'm at the stage of writing a business plan and my text for my home page.

I'm not sure where to post this part but I'm looking for a business plan template or at least some guidelines specific for the VA Industry .

Hi Beverly! I found a great business plan website that helped me to build my personalized plan. It gave me a lot of focus on my goals and where I wanted to go with this whole "being a VA" thing It's located at: http://www.canadabusiness.ca/ibp/en/index.cfm
