Default Hello from London
Hi everyone,

I am in the process of starting up my own VA business and have found this forum extremely useful. Right now I'm working on my website. I'm an accountant from the US but I've been working in Europe since 2007. I'm looking to offer PA and bookkeeping services. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to all the topic in this forum and hoping to post soon.

Thanks,

Ramiro

Hi Ramiro, welcome to the forums
Be sure to check out the Virtual Bookkeepers topic section - though you'll find lots of pertinent information in all areas of the site.

The great thing about being virtual is it doesn't really matter where you or your clients are located - and often the time difference can be a nice marketing tool - you'll be working while your US clients are sleeping, effectively giving them a 24 hour business day That was how I always put it when I was living abroad... and it really resonated for many of my clients, especially those based in NYC where it seems the business day never ends!

Wishing you much success

Welcome Ramiro,

We were just in London. Only for a day trip (visiting my Mum in Hull, East Yorks) but we did manage to have lunch with Gwyneth Paltrow. OK, she was 5 tables down from us and didn't actually know who we were, but at least we were in the same restaurant

My old company use to have their HQ at Chelsea Harbour; are you in the City itself or in the suburbs?

Welcome to the forums - I'm sure you will be made to feel right at home. In your honour I might even start spelling things with a "u" and use "s" instead of "z" (and even call it Zed instead of Zee)

Hello Business Cornerstone Services,
It's a big coincidence about Gwyneth Paltrow. I met her many years ago when she attended the Homecoming ceremony at my military school in PA with her grandfather who was an Alumni. I live in North London, about a 20 minute commute to centre London so it's very nice. I love the city itself. Before I lived in Chelsea, right on the Kings Road.
Thanks for welcoming me to the forums, I've learned so much already. My site is finally live so now I just have to learn about SEO in order for it to be found on the search engines. So much to do, so little time. Thanks again.
Regards,
Ramiro

Hi Ramiro. Glad you're enjoying living in London.

I'm a new VA and desperate to find help.

Am I right in saying that I have to post 5 times before I can actually post a question of my own?

I am also keen to find a draft contract or confidentiality agreement and not sure where to find one.
