Hi there! My name is Victoria and I am a new business owner! I have been doing bookkeeping and office management for small businesses since 2001 but I am ready to do it on my own. The reason for that is I have a little girl that is 15 months old and I am tired of leaving her every day. I know I can do this, I just need some guidance from the experts who've been there, done that! I am so happy I found this forum .

My daughter is about to turn three and I've felt so grateful to have been home with her since the beginning (I got pregnant with her when we'd been in business for a few years already.)
You are so right that you CAN do this - there is plenty of information and encouragement on this site to help you get started. Make the most of it and read, read, read - take lots of notes and ask lots of questions!

I have found the search feature at the top right corner to be very helpful to me in locating threads that could answer questions I have. Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes! It is exciting but intimidating at the same time. I haven't gotten the first client or job yet, not sure how to do that while still working full time (or even if I were not working honestly). That is the scariest part right now, approaching businesses and what to say!
