My name is Karyn. For years I have dreamed of becoming a VA and my husband has encouraged me to do the same. I found myself unemployed this past August, and we both agreed that this was the perfect opportunity for me to really research the VA industry and start to build my business.
A few weeks ago I was able to obtain my first client and so far things are going extremely well. He is an international speaker and consultant and has offered to refer his colleagues to me at a time when I feel comfortable taking on more responsibilities.
I am absolutely STUCK on a business name, so for the moment I do not have a website, business cards, etc. I'm getting a lot of good ideas from this forum so hopefully the name will to me quickly!!

It sounds like a great opportunity for you! There are lots of threads on how folks got their biz names so use the search utility for some of those. I know you'll get the right fit soon.
Welcome from one newbie to another. Isn't it great to have such wonderful husbands that encourage us to start this business? Mine has been a big part of me coming here, too. I'm also stuck on a name. It would be nice to have one, just to get everything else up and running! Good luck to you!

Referrals from happy clients are always the BEST way to obtain new clients so you're in great shape already.
You might want to check out the Branding Your Business forum for conversations and tips on naming your business, coming up with a tagline, designing a logo, etc.
