I'm located in Northern California (Marin County). I'm literally only three days into starting my new business, so I'm busy researching, and I'm very excited about the opportunity to learn from everyone. Sue, I'm glad to hear you like my business name. I can't really take credit for it...a good friend actually came up with the name and I'm very grateful to her.

Laura Hi Laura, I'm not quite sure when I will be ready to take on my first client. I'm still doing all my research as well. I want to be sure I have all my "ducks in a row" before I take on any clients.

Before taking on that first client, be sure to have your contracts ready, your terms of agreement, time tracking software, and confidence that you can perform the tasks required and are worth every penny you charge. Best wishes! Thanks so much for the advice. I definitely plan to do just as you suggest. Of course, I'm still working full time at my current job, so doing everything to get my business up and running is going to take some time as I will have to do in the evenings and on the weekends. But, definitely worth the effort!
