Hello all, Newbie from Cincinnati, Ohio
Hello everyone,
Im Taunya from Cincinnati, Ohio. I am currently unemployed due to having back problems. Had surgery on my back Nov. 5th, 2010. My doctor told me at my post-op visit, I am not to continue with my line of work. I was working as a nurse and do a lot of bending and lifting. That is all I really know for the last 16 yrs. So, now what? I am waiting to hear from disability. I have a feeling its gonna be a while. I need to bring in money. Its been so hard on my wonderful husband. I need ideas/suggestions on something simple to bring in some money. I cannot sit, walk, stand, lay down for long periods at a time. Usually an hr before the pain in my back gets unbearable. So, that is why I need something simple. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Blessings,
Taunya Schroeder

Hi Taunya, welcome to the site
Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time of it - I hope 2011 brings you success and good health.

I have to be honest here and say that there is nothing easy or quick about starting and running a successful virtual office assistance company, or any small business for that matter.

If you're not quite up for investing the time and energy into developing a full-fledged business I might suggest checking out some of the freelance sites out there and start bidding on projects that you're qualified and skilled to provide service on. The only caveat there is that often times you are bidding against service providers in countries where the cost of living is much lower, so their bids are relatively lower. But, perseverance and professionalism may pay off in this case.

Good luck to you!
