Hello Ladies (and any Gentlemen in the house),

My name is Mia Chambers. I am the owner of Acumen Works. I started my VA practice two years ago, January 2007.

I work with women business owners in California (a niche that found me).

I am a mother of two boys, ages 7 and 4. I've been married for nine years (seems like 50--ha!).

I love the flexibility of what I do, but have been struggling in recent months with the idea of moving my business outside of my home.

My life is a little out of balance with work taking over my priorities.

I'm here to connect with others VAs, share my knowledge, and gain valuable insights and support from each of you.

I look forward to networking with each of you.

Hi Mia, welcome to the forums!

I hear you on the priorities issue - I think many members struggle with that very thing. The irony being that the same numbers of virtual service providers started VA businesses in order to be able to spend more time with family. It can be a challenge to balance family life and a growing business, but can be done! You'll find your balance - and in the meantime, you've found a great place to bounce ideas off other VAs who are in the same boat!

I have children around the same age as yours. I have a boy who is 8 and a girl who is 4 (thinks she's more like 14!). I've also been married for just about 9 years (but together 19 at the end of the year...ohmigosh...that sounds pretty long - but good).

You will find this forum a HUGE value! Everyone on here is absolutely wonderful!
