Not that I'm expert on this matter becauese I don't know what hoops you have to jump through, but I was just thinking and maybe this will sound silly but what if you ran your VA business within your antique shop. Perhaps then you would not have to jump through more hoops / maybe more. LOL. Sorry, like I said not an expert on the issue. Just a thought and I thought I would put it out there.

I'd like to be able to keep the shop open and just use it as my 'office' and do my VA thing from there. It would be ideal. I'm just not sure if I need to have a separate license for the VA business. I tend to over-analyze things and end up just spinning my wheels! Grrrr. I am my own worst enemy sometimes.

Welcome Liz! You will find VAF a wonderful source - filled with great info, ideas and people! I am from Illinois but wanted to welcome you. Perhaps you can tie in your Antique Shop and VA business on website. What do you use now for tax ID? I use my social security number. Since VA business is VIRTUAL and driven by website I wouldn't see why you would have to have any licenses etc. Use each business to advertise/support the other of course. -- I don't know much but I know you have a lot of people here that DO!
