New here to the site, but hoping it will be beneficial. I was a casualty of the layoffs but I was actually relieved when it happened and I think I can take my experience and skills and put them to use in a much better way. Glad this resource is available.

I too am sorry to hear you were laid off, I also found myself in that position a year and a half ago, then to add salt to the wound ended up in a company where I felt my skills and experience were under utilized and under appreciated, and then I gave up and mutually we cut ties, and it turned out to be a favor to me because through that I learnt my own value, and well here I am today launching my own VA practise and looking forward to taking control of my career and having my destiny in my own hands.
