Default Greetings from Metrolina!
Hi everyone. I'm based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Like many of you here, I too am making the jump to virtual assistant after 25 years as a cube dweller. My husband and I co-own the business. We are in the process of hammering out our website and hope to have our domain name within the next couple of days.

I had no idea setting up would be so involved, but I believe it will be worth it in the long run. I'm looking forward to doing the things I enjoy most.

Hope you don't mind if I pick your brains from time to time.

Hello and welcome It's great to meet another VA/husband team! My husband and I run a business together - it's morphed quite a bit since the early days and we now offer very different services than when we first started - but that's to be expected as you dig in and discover new talents and directions you can go in together. I wouldn't trade it for anything and love working with my husband. Some of the most fun times we have together is brainstorming and executing new projects.

I wish you much success in attaining your business goals and look forward to hearing more about your website and business launch! Keep us posted

Pick away! We all started somewhere once and yes, there IS a lot involved with setting up and getting going. But we are here to help and you will find all the resources you need on this forum.

Thanks, Tess. And you are so right. As we hammer this out, I will be a VA while he will be the VP (virtual paralegal). In fact, he's asking me to give him a whole weekend so he can study the paralegal forums. Seems like most vp stuff is strictly litigation, and he's not a litigation paralegal. Most of his background is estate, state and federal government, and commercial real estate, which as you probably know tanked with the housing market.
Hoping to finish out our website and domain so that we can be up and running by the end of this month.

I often have clients looking for traditional paralegal work (not necessarily real estate) which I no longer offer. Which means I'm always on the lookout for quality, professional virtual paralegals that I can give them contact info for. Send me a private message.
