My name is Chablis Gordon from connecticut and I started my business in December of 2010. I am so excited and looking forward to meeting and networking with other Virtual Assistants. I am eager to learn from other members of VAF about the business. It is great having this platform to ask questions and gain knowlege about how other VA's run their business and what their practices and policies are.

I am having a little anxiety worrying if I am going to obtain clients. In addition to being a newbie to the VA business, I am also trying become a vegetarian...starting a business and changing your diet is not a good combination!

Welcome...feel free to network with me anytime. How far are you in setting your business or are you established already? I found that the legal aspects of the business in relation to Connecticut was a pain. However, once I spoke with my accountant I felt a little better.

Hi Chablis, I am a stay-at-home-mom working as a VA part time. I am lucky because I am not the sole source of income in my family. We have also discussed my business with our accountant and are doing okay...saving ALL my receipts!

I mainly work with clients on their Twittering, WP sites, blog posting and eBlast using Aweber and Constant Contact. I have gotten all of my clients - so far - from word of mouth.
