Hi everyone. I am new here and I love this site. You all are a wealth of information. Becoming a VA is something I have wanted to do for a very long time. For the 3rd time in the past 10 years I am with a company who is outsourcing my department. I tell you the desire to work for someone else is gone so I am looking at this as the best thing that could have every happened to me because this time I am going to take my great skills and work for myself. I am single so I must admit not having a second income to fall back on makes a little leary but reading through the posts from those of you who are actually doing it is very encouraging and informative.

To the Administration thank you so much for this site. It is good to know that if I get a client who requires something that I cannot provide I am connected with a people whom I can refer them too. I am a giver and I firmly believe if I sow seeds they will come back to me. They always have.

Actually I believe today's economy and companies doing what my company is doing will only serve to increase businesses such as ours. So here I am making me a big jug of lemondade.

Congraulations to all of us here who have come to recognize our worth! May blessings be upon all of us!

Good for you for finding a positive direction in what must surely be a frustrating reality.

Your experience in the business world will serve you and your clients well.

Pour all the energy you've been giving to someone else's company and build your own - you're so right that sowing those seeds will bring much back to you. Go for it!

There's a great community here to support and encourage you as you take those first steps. It can be intimidating for sure, but there is nothing to stop you from making this happen.

I'm excited to hear from you again when you're ready to open your virtual doors! In the meantime, also looking forward to chatting with you on the forums. See you around

LaVon Thank you. My skills are many and I am trying now to figure out a niche. I really want to lean toward churches although i have never really worked for a church. Not sure how to do that yet

I am interested to see how your church niche works out. I actually work part-time for my church as their admin assistant and I absolutely love it! However, there are a few things that you should consider.
