Default Gray VA Services - UK Based
Hi Everyone.

I previously introduced myself last September when I was beginning to plan my VA business. Since then I have not posted but have frequently visited the forums and have found really useful information here. I have now actually launched my business and wanted to re-introduce myself.

I am based in the North East of England and currently work full time as a Management Accountant. I plan to work evenings and weekends as a VA whilst building my business and then hope to become fully self employed within a year or two. I'd love to get advice from anyone who has followed the same route to becoming a full time VA.

My niche is business startups and freelancers working from home. Until reading posts here I had not realised how important a niche is.

I look forward to getting to know you.

Sue

Congratulations on getting your business started. I too am currently confined to doing business in the evenings and on the weekends, but am hopeful that within the next few months I will be able to go full-time. Good luck!

Hi and welcome Sue Or, welcome back!
Congratulations on taking another jump into your virtual assistance business - I'm sure you'll find all the more information and support here at VAF.

Regarding your question about starting a practice while working outside the home, I haven't experienced this personally but there are some very popular threads on the boards related to this issue:

Part Time vs Full Time VAs

Quitting my PT Job

Can I ask the longer established VAs?

Building a VA practice while working full time

Hope that helps!
See you on the boards
