Default Glad to meet you, VAs!
Hello everyone

I'm Tyanna and want to start my own VA business. Hope will find here some support in my approaches, since this is not something well-known in my country. I think I'm kind of a pioneer in my area

For start, I just want to wish you all the best and, after I'll read some more on these forums, I'll revert with lots of questions.

See ya,
Tyanna

Hi Deirdre, hi Brenda

And thank you so much for your warm welcome!

I'm living in Romania (Eastern Europe). I have a full-time job here and I hope to build my own VA business as soonest as possible. I've been in office administration for last 10 years and I consider I have the necessary skills for my private business as VA.
Three weeks ago I didn't even know about this possibility, I just started to look for work-at-home possibilities. The first step was to discover Rent-A-Coder, then oDesk (which practically freaked me out with their low rates!!!), but looking further I discovered Virtual Assistant Temps, then VACertification and....now I'm here. If I would have thought to look for VA forums from the beginning, I would've spare at least one week.
But nevertheless, it's good that I'm here and hope, with your help, to become a well-known VA in Bucharest.

As strategy, I'm thinking to take small jobs for start-up, like data-entry, and in time to see what else I may cover. Given the fact that most clients are americans, and what they need can be very different from how things are usually done here, I'm expecting to be quite tough at the beginning, but I have all the patience in the world and also all desire to succeed.

And from what I've seen here, you are so supportive and kind!

As a matter of fact, you may help me right now with a sincere feedback: how does my English sound to you? and what about my correctness in writing?

Hi Tyanna,

I think your english sounds great. I am very good in english, well at least I'd like to think so, but I always like to review my writing with the spelling/grammar check.

Thank you Stacee for your welcoming, you girls really make me feel sorry I didn't discover this forum sooner!
I have great plans for this year, starting with getting the ECDL certification (at least the advanced one, if not also the web starter) and then I'll follow some intensive courses of online marketing ....
I'll keep you all informed about my evolution and, of course, I'll do my best to help, whenever I will can!

HI Tyanna, welcome It's great to have you here!

I do think you're our first member from Romania - I'm going to have to set up a map that shows where our membership is located. It seems to become more and more global every single day.

Looking forward to chatting with you further and learning more about your business plans
