Default Aspiring VA in Central Tx
Hi Everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and let you all know how excited I am to be a part of this forum.

My name is Lisa and I am VERY new within the VA world. I am currently a full time student working toward an associate's degree in Office Administration. I had worked in the corporate world for many years but was laid off last March. This opened the door for me to continue my education.

I have enjoyed reading through this forum and soaking up the incredible amount of information on here. Thanks to those who take the time to post and share in their knowledge. While I am feeling a little overwhelmed I am also enthused and excited at the prospects ahead of me.

Take care all and I look forward to getting to know some of you on here.

Hi Lisa,
Welcome to VAF. Congratulations in spending the last year so wisely and continuing with your education, I did a similar thing after I had to leave work after an accident. I am new to the VA industry too. It can be a little overwhelming with the amount of information out there, but try not to worry. This is such a great place to sit down with a cup of coffee (or whatever drink you prefer) and read through some of the amazing and helpful posts from others. I have found the forum invaluable as I head towards opening the doors of my business. I wish you all the best in your new venture.
