Default Another new "kid", from Hotlanta
Hello, everyone.

I was a legal assistant with a paralegal certificate for about a decade before actually being a paralegal. Those jobs, however, have been mostly contractor positions, and with the one I'm in now, I decided I'd be better off having my own business and working for (hopefully) several people rather than just one.

I think I've been reading forum postings for about three hours and finally decided to register because the information and sharing here is phenomenal, and will certainly assist me in doing things the way I want to do them. The getting started packet is already putting my mind into focus, and if I can keep up the steam, hope to be positively self-employed by Jan 1.

My profile isn't in place yet; I don't necessarily do things in the same order as others, but I do make sure I do things correctly.

Welcome. I know what you mean "I don't necessarily do things in the same order as others". Who can sometimes....with all the interruptions we have in day. As long as it is done right in the end.

There is a huge amount of helpful information on here. I'm still poking around in the old threads and learning new things.

Welcome, I have found some great information and feel I can contribute later on once I get my profile set up. I have been doing side jobs for people and decided to legalize what I was doing. Wishing you the best
