Hello everyone!

I'm not exactly a new member as I signed up last year. Unfortunately, I was barely able to even get my feet wet on this forum, hence the reintroduction!

I was seriously all gung-ho to get going with my VA career but several unexpected situations came up all at once that prevented me from putting my full energy into this, including the fact that my computer has been on its last legs! Thankfully, I was final able to save up for one and my baby Mac should arrive some time next week. (You're all invited to the shower!) ;0
Actually, it's the one with the 24" screen so it's quite a big baby!

Anyway, I fully intend to make use of this forum and to hopefully make some new friends along the way. I spent most of my career as an adminstrative assistant here in NY, but I also have an artistic side and would like to try and combine the two.

It's good to be back and hopefully I will finally get things really going now with my new computer. Have a great weekend guys!

It was so beautiful and sunny outside today but I had to discipline myself to start getting the office set up and organized. I just spent the entire afternoon clearing up clutter and rearranging my office. Isn't it amazing how much junk you can accumulate over time?? I have tons of CDs with saved files and older versions of programs. And of course yesterday I received the new Ikea catalog in the mail and was completely salivating at all the cool office furniture, bookcases and shelves!

By the way, just curious. Has anyone ever posted pictures of their home office set ups? I think it would be interesting to see how other people have their office space organized. I know how easy the work can pile up and make a person overwhelmed when the office space becomes disorganized. Personally, I'm a bit of a neat freak and I can't work properly if I allow files and papers piling up all over the place. So I am going to attempt to make things organized from the start so that things don't get too out of hand later!
