I don't know about a calculator, but I will let you know that in order to make it work for our family. I got some good advice on budgeting and figured out where every dollar was really going, by allocating it on paper before the month even started. Then use cash to stick to that budget, and figured out with a line item how much I needed to make working at home as a bare minimum to keep our budget afloat. I don't know if anyone else is a Dave Ramsey fan or not, but I think he's a great resource for any financial planning that you might be doing, and I'd do it before you make the jump... just so you have a plan. I think that's the most important thing.
