Hi Everyone,

As you know the monthly blog challenge is posted every month which offers all members the opportunity to create a post to win a great book from the VAF library.

Unfortunately, participation has waned over time even though membership in the Blog Group has increased to more than 108 members!

The primary goals for starting the contest were to bring attention to the VAF blog section and to give members a chance to showcase their blogging talents. Both goals have been achieved!

The feedback is always positive from the few who regularly participate thanking me (and VAF) for the opportunity to win a book and the chance to blog 'among friends'.

After careful consideration, I have decided to change this contest from monthly to quarterly to see if this change will afford greater interest. So the next blog challenge contest will be in December.

Please continue to use the VAF blog section to post new blog entries.

If participation does not increase in the December contest, we may need to close down effective January 2011.

I thank everyone who has participated thus far this year. It has been a great run!

I am sorry to see participation declining and completely understand this decision. Thank you for the time and effort you put into this group, Janine. Hoping participation will pick up again for the next challenge!

Thank you Janine for all your hard work in this group. I know it has given me an opportunity I would not have had or taken.

I shall now have to wait until December for my 6 month blog badge, but that will give me time to think of an extraordinary one. LOL
