Ladies,
Is any one of you connected to a - paid - Virtual Assistant Directory, like the one that is always advertising on the right hand side of this forum?
I'm asking, since I can only see the benefit for US people, but that may not be true. I know that there is one in the UK as well.

I am listed on the VAF list, but that is free.

Look forward to hearing if any of you spend money on being listed in a Directory.

Hi Hilde. So far I have only advertised my company in free directories (but carefully selected ones, nevertheless). I have a fairly small advertising budget and at the moment I intend to use it to advertise in publications specifically aimed at English ex-pats living and working in France - one of my prime target markets.

Whatever you decide, my main recommendation would be to do a lot of careful research beforehand and try and choose a directory/publication which will give you maximum benefit in reaching your specific chosen market. Pretty obvious stuff, I know, but costs can soon mount up and you can end up paying out more than you're actually earning! Good luck and I hope all is going well for you. Jane

Thanks. You are right about costs mounting up. Especially when there is only little income coming int.

I'm debating the directories as I'm not convinced yet.

At the moment I'm doing a lot of blogging/twittering and it gets results as well, plus it's free (apart of course from the time I spend on it of which I currently have 'enough').
