Hi everyone in Europe. Jo very kindly posted a new message on the general forum to see how we're doing so this is a follow up. Hope business has been good for you all and new clients have been appearing. Personally, I've had some bilingual work which is good but still working hard on my social media marketing and networking which is woefully inadequate. Not helped at the moment by the heat - 36 in the shade yesterday and getting hotter by the day! Would be good to hear from you all and find out what you've been up to and thanks again, Jo, for reminding us. Jane

Hi Jane,
I've been on leave to Spain to work on our new apartment. My final last 3 weeks in my regular job will start Monday. On 4 August we're ready to depart for Spain and I'll then start my VA business.
I've been spending a bit of time looking for clients, but have only found one who is now not in a position to pay me. I will take her on though as she's got a large network and it will be good practice.
Good to hear your business is growing.

Completely agree on the social media marketing and networking. I've been quite isolated in my company as it's so big and a society in itself. Will be a steep learning curve.

It's good to hear from you. The past 6 months have been quite busy for me too. I set up my VA practice on January 2010 and since then I spent a lot of time setting up a website, blog, social media accounts, handling SEO issues, etc. It was a hard work but I love the result!

Hilde, you've obviously had a very busy time lately and I wish you loads of success and happiness in your move to Spain and of course your VA business. I am sure with your determination and commitment, it will be extremely successful.

Sylvie, I've checked out your website etc. and it's absolutely incredible! You've done such a fantastic job and I am totally in awe at what you've achieved. It has spurred me on to get my act together. Felicitations!

I must admit I already have a personal Facebook account but need to set up a business one as well. I have been trying to understand exactly how Twitter works before opening an account. It may sound crazy but I am quite daunted by it all at the moment. I am sure when I start it will all get much easier. I already have a LinkedIn account as part of my networking and am looking at other options such as StumbleUpon. Will look forward to having a mutual follow with you on Facebook and Twitter, many thanks for the offer. Look forward to sharing more news with you soon.
