I hope that 2009 was a Happy and Prosperous year for you.

If you are like most small business owners, you are right in the middle of tax time. As Canadians, our tax system is different from most of the members of this forum.

Please post any tips, suggestions, etc that you have for making tax time easier on your business as well as you clients.

While I wasn't in business last year, I think this is a great topic. I wanted to start a similar topic but didn't know how to start it!! Interested in seeing the upcoming posts!

My tax tip is to use Quicktax. It has a tax wizard that walks you through everything and gives you the option to efile.

I would like to discuss this topic further. I had my business last year so I had expenses, but no income. As well I went to school (still attending will graduate in June). We got the H & R Block tax programme and it was really great. It walked you through a home-based business and personal. We already have a refund back.

I am not sure if we did everything right I have kept my paper work pretty organized. I took bookkeeping last semester (done in excel), but I do not know Quick Books or Simply Accounting. I believe I will be getting Simply Accounting here soon.

I am not sure how the schedule chats work, but I have very interested in joining in them. Let me know.
