Less than a month ago I change my site to Wordpress. The site was initially set up my another VA of Officeto-go.com. She did a wonderful job. I am now adding other contents to my site. I thought it would be difficult, but it was not. I know a little bit of codes, but I don't really need them.

Take a look.

Has anyone checked out the new Headway theme? My longtime dedicated Thesis client has her head turned by it.

I don't have Headway but it looks pretty good for ease of use in changing how the pages look, better than Thesis. Since it is pretty new, I wonder how good their support community is. Initially, you won't have many users helping you out if you have problems with it.

I didn't see anywhere about Headway utilizing the custom CSS and functions like Thesis does. Would you have to apply your customizations again when they have an upgrade?

I'd probably wait and check out the reviews about it.

I have recently started using Wordpress and I am addicted. I would like to do some kind of formal training. Does anyone have suggestions?

One of my clients uses Headway, and it is pretty awesome.

Are you talking about when WP has an upgrade? If so, nothing changed for my client when we upgraded to the current version of WP.

Even though Headway has a very nice interface for changing colors, and way beyond, you can still apply your own custom styling to it if you wish by using the custom style sheet (http://headwaythemes.com/documentati...te/custom-css/).

One thing of note is to make sure your host supports php5+, because Headway won't work with anything under version 5.

Hello Ladies,

This is a great thread on Wordpress and I got one of my question answered about using my url (www.yourdomainname.com) vs (www.yourdomainname.com/blog) or WP. I have a webhost that has the one click installation and two buttons one says Wordpress the other says Fantastico Deluxe on the Fantastico Deluxe I have the option to choose wordpress. But I do not know which one to choose that would be the easiest to install wordpress. The other questions at what point during installation do I make sure that it will use my URL (www.yourdomainname.com).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am in the process of transferring my domain to another host that uses the Cpanel with these options and I am considering using wordpress to revamp my site but confused about installion and domain name.

Thanks.

Ivette

I have just switched my website over to a wordpress based web site and it works really well. Rather than use it as a blog type site I've set mine up to be just like a normal website with a static front page.
The other thing I have noticed is that Google seems to love wordpress based websites in terms of finding and indexing pages on your web site.
