Default WordPress Post Questions
Been researching on this for a couple of hours, and I'm a bit at a loss on 3 small issues and would like to see if someone can give me a hand.

When you go to my blog page on my WP site the default seems to be that it is only displaying my most recent post. I possibly had the "single-post" feature set at some point, but I thought it was under Settings - Reading (which is where the Codex seems to be pointing me). I checked all over to see if it moved in the latest version - but can't find anything.

I also must have set something, somewhere, that tells my posts to cut-off as excerpts with a "continue reading" link, but I'm also trying to find where I set that. I am not typing manual excerpts for each post, so I'm assuming I set it as a default somewhere.

The last thing is that in the excerpt that does show, the text that is the paragraph header is not showing as a header, but as part of the first sentence.

Any help would be appreciated. I've researched online and in the codex and can't seem to find things that address this exact issue.

Thanks much!

Pam, are you using Headway? If so, it's possible you set the excerpts setting in the content leaf?

Hey Tina- how u doing? Ya- it's Headway. Of course - that could be it. I'll look tomorrow. Do you think that would explain the issue with the paragraph heading?

Yes, if you are using Headway. It will be in the settings section there and that should clear up both issues once you tweak the settings. I can remember where they are exactly, but I know I made the adjustments for my site within Headways settings.

Hi Pam! I'm doing well, super busy, but that's a good thing right? Yes, the paragraph setting is also something that you could have set in the content leaf in the visual editor. Let me know if that works for you!

That is a good thing! Yeah! So here's what I discovered. For some reason - and maybe I did this, but I don't think so - the leaf I had was a featured post leaf...so I thought I had an ahh ha moment and I changed to a content leaf. That corrected the issues with the paragraph headings (i.e. formatting) and it corrected the issue with only one post displaying - however, now it won't do excerpts and it doesn't show comments.

Hi Renee - thanks for the heads up on the headway settings. I double checked but the settings there seem ok.

I've checked the settings for the leaf, post settings, and headway config settings and they all look ok. So - I think this is a bigger problem than what can be addressed here on the forum and I think I'll need to call my FAV headway hack and get her direct help.?? :-)

Funny thing is that even though I had the Featured post in there...settings said to show up to 5...so don't know why more wouldn't show.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the help.

UPDATE - Tina - I'm sure you saw the upgrade that was announced today re: Feature Posts & Excerpts?! Maybe this will be my answer!

For others who may be reading this post...because Headway is the WAY to go...tee hee...They just announced a new "excerpts leaf" which, from what they say it will do sounds awesome!

Hi Pam!
The new Excerpts+ plugin is pretty cool, but if it doesn't turn out to fix your issue, then definitely contact your 'Headway Hack'
