Hi all!
I'm working on developing a website (behind the scenes) using Headway Theme. Ran into some sticking points because I was going to either use IP Deny in a .htaccess file - or I was going to just put an index.html (
under construction landing page) in my domain folder...which that worked great until I tried to access headway's visual editor. So to make long story...longer

I had to get with Hostgator and we came up with the following work around.
I needed to create a sub-domain - (example: primary domain of cupcakes4you.com became
developer.cupcakes4u.com). (this is a fictitious domain for purpose of example.)
So...now I'm able to develop "behind the scenes" on the sub-domain and the great plan was that once I'm done I'll simply move my WP files back to the primary domain. Works great until you realize that any links to images and probably on-page anchor text links, won't work once I move the files because the URL's will still have the sub-domain in the URL.
So...I would love to get some other thoughts on how I can accomplish this. The guy at Hostgator said I'd need to use "relative links" instead of absolute...but I have no clue how to do that.
Headway recommends a plug-in called "theme test drive"...but that didn't work at all. Everyone could still see my site when I tried to use it.
Thanks tons for any help.
