I have a problem. Just a bit ago I wanted to edit something on my WordPress home page. Logged in > Pages > Home > Edit. Only a blank page comes up with nothing on it at all. All other pages are fine. I'm at a loss.

Cleared cookies, refreshed, logged out, logged back in...still nothing.

Help?

Yeah I saw that post. My problem is a bit different as it is only the home page that isn't available for editing - all the other pages are. Very well might be a plugin problem, though. It's always something, eh?

Jules,
Without knowing exactly what was done right before it happened it's hard to say what's going on.
Definitely disable all plugins and and see if that fixes it. Then go back and enable one at a time, testing after each.
Did you update wp recently? If not, back up your database and files and apply the upgrade.
I'll be around sporadically today so let me know if any of that does not work.

I did update about a week or more ago, but no other changes, Christina. I could edit all pages after the update, but all of a sudden not the home page. So frustrating!

If you want- set me up a temp admin sign in and email it over to me. I'll hop in and see if I can figure out what's going on.

I think I'm on the way to solving this, Christina. It's a plugin that needs to be updated for my current version of WP (but I can't disable it again until I have time to work on this, because it's my form - works fine, just can't edit for a bit). Now I get the lovely fatal error message about not enough memory since re-enabling the plugin, but I've dealt with that error before. If I keep

Jules have you tried contact form 7 plugin?
It works great, no issues and there is a captcha plugin that works with it you can install as well. Let me know if you need help. :-)

Why is it that you always have such interesting and somewhat serious problems? Just when I want to get my feet really wet with Wordpress I hear of all these little "problems". Tell me they are few and far between.

In any event I hope you solve your problem, that's what Virtual Assistants do best, solve problems!!. Hope your weekend isn't too spooky.

Yup, I tried that one in the past, but I find that cforms is so cool with all the different customizing one can do, so I went that route. cformsII has been out awhile, but I have been ignoring the "prompting" to upgrade.

No ignoring it now, eh?

I'll get this figured out...or at least I know who to turn loose with it if I can't.
