Lily, just wondering - does he have other banners on his site (to size by)?
A standard banner is much much larger than this - even the ones I have at the top of the page here are considerably smaller than 'average'

The other banners on his site are approx this size - he has paid advertisers for hunting/fishing guides. I'll try making it bigger and submitting it to him just in case

No no, it's OK - I just wanted to make sure
Is it just my eyes or is the red and 'click here' kind of hard to read?
I think you did a really good job, esp. considering how much space you have to work with!

I made a larger one - he can always ask me to downsize, right? How's this

LOL
It's good - definitely big!

My only suggestion is to move the two 'red' sentences closer together and allow for equal space between them and the lines above and below respectively.

As far as how your client will display the image - send it to him with the full URL you want it to link to and he should be able to handle it from there. Otherwise, you may want to host it on your own site, just upload it to your image files and send him the link (http://www.yourwebsite.com/yourimage.../yourimage.jpg)

I SO love that tagline about hiring a mere mortal - very cool

Thanks, all! I think your suggestions made a lot of sense. Done! The client liked it too! In fact, he said he is attaching it to his subscribers email reminding them to renew their annual subscription!
