I built my original site in GoDaddy's website tonight software (included free with domain purchase). It has since been converted to a wordpress site and I couldn't be happier.

I'm still creating my website but I'm using iThemes Builder. It's great because you don't have to know HTML or CSS to build your site. All those things are incorporated into their theme to make things simple. I mean getting off the ground was still a bit difficult because I had never tried to build a site before but I feel I'm finally getting it. There are 3 different price points and I bought the cheapest one but now that I've got the hang of it I'm planning on upgrading so I have access to all their themes. You should take a look around their website to see what they offer.

I built my site on Yahoo! Small Business. I LOVE it! It was so easy, it looks great, it was inexpensive, and it has a ton of extras included.

I have also used Homestead for a client. It's not bad, but I don't think it is as user friendly as Yahoo! It is also more expensive. However, it is more customizable than Yahoo - you can move stuff around exactly where you want it.

I have looked at GoDaddy and would love to work with it some time to see how it compares to these other two. It seems very similar to Yahoo with maybe a little more flexibility.

Sorry, Magdaline, I have never heard of wix.com, but I checked out their website and their samples look really nice. The one thing I will caution you about is that any time you use a free hosting service, be prepared to have your site littered with ads that the host chooses. You won't have any control over what ads are posted on your site. Before you decide if you are okay with that and other options that may not be available to you, make sure you compare their free option to their premium option to find out what you'll be missing.

I had absolutely no experience with building a website and chose SnapPages when it came time to build mine. Their drag and drop feature is what sold me as I wanted to get the site up quickly. Hosting is only $8 a month and the first 14 days are free which gives you lots of time to play around and decide if you want to continue with them. Here is the link so you can check them out: http://www.snappages.com/. Good luck with your site!
