I've noticed few sites with a list of web safe colors and its codes. But I wonder if it's still alright to use our "own" custom colors that's not considered web safe?

Anyone who can't see your custom colors because of old equipment in this day and age probably doesn't deserve to! It's funny how it was such a huge deal at one time. I used to play around with this tool to dither colors together to create browser safe color mixes.
