Default Web Pages that Suck
I know that's not such a nice thing to say, but it's actually a web site that has been around for as long as I can remember. In fact, I just had to look at the Whois record and I could see that the domain was first registered in 1996 but I discovered it in 1998.

The premise of the site is to learn good web design by studying bad design. It's a tongue-in-cheek, fun and informative site.

I especially like their checklist

Also, keep in mind that they know their site sucks. It was made to demonstrate sucky web design.

Hope you enjoy the links.

LOL, I LOVE this site...lots of great examples of what NOT to do with a website.

Imagine the soul deep cringe site owners must experience when they see their domain featured here!

I think I would absolutely cry if I ever ever saw my domain name listed on there.

I come across awful sites on a daily basis, it is unbelievable.

Ooooh, I hope the premise of this site didn't upset anyone. If you concentrate on the lists, you can get a lot out of the site.

Here's a link to the complete list of mistakes you should avoid, if possible:

Just came across this post...the commentary and examples had me laughing and crying. Some of these sites are positively blinding! Great information on what not to do.

I took a web design course back in 2001 and the instructor showed us this site. I just read the top 30 mistakes and that is a great reference! Thanks for posting this.
