Scribd is a website that allows you to upload and share your documents online within the Scribd community, as well as, on your website or blog. Scribd, in a nutshell is like Youtube for your documents. The benefits are that there are shorter load times for documents embedded on your site and is a great way to share your content with others. I wanted to give my utmost thanks to Darlene for posting this blog about Scribd. She does a wonderful job explaining in video format how Scribd works and what purpose it serves.

I really appreciate when I watch a how-to video that 'gets to the point' and leaves out all the 'mumbo jumbo-extraneous' info that is distracting when I want to really learn a new tool.

Darlene makes it easy...so much so, that I took a Social Networking PowerPoint video I made for LinkedIn and uploaded it to Scribd. Simple, just like Darlene said!

I added the slide show to my site with a few clicks and saved the ftp hassle, which was just what I needed since I had spent so much time on the presentation as it was and needed to move onto other projects.

So Darlene, thank you so much for offering this wonderful tool. I also used Scribd for a pdf. When something is so easy to do it just leaves more time to figure out the best places to post.

I just had a situation come up where Scribd is the perfect solution for a very do-it-yourself oriented client - and thanks to Darlene's post, I had the information I needed to help my client implement that solution.
