Default Using Paint.net
I have never created graphics before and have started using Paint.net very recently - after having created a layer for my text, picked the text took, font type, size and color - when I begin typing it doesn't show.

Does anyone know if there is a specific order of things that have to be done or a trick to make this work.

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it - client is waiting for graphic and I can't get anywhere.

Did you verify that you are working on the top layer? Is your font large enough to actually SHOW UP on the layer?

since Paint is new to you I recommend you start with a blank white page and try doing your text on that first just to make sure that it is working the way you think it should..

Lily;

Thank you - with your suggestion and an very helpful Paint.net person - I finally got it to work.

Now maybe I can get this thing done and client will like it on first pass - keep your fingers crossed.

Cool. If it still hadn't worked for you I was going to suggest you send it to me so I could figure out what it was doing. Glad you got it to behave!

Apparently hitting the escape key when starting a new layer is a key tip!

Thanks again
