Office Live Help!!! - Virtual Assistant Forums

Hello Everyone,

I signed up for Microsoft Office Live however I noticed that there is little room for creativity. Also i'm not a fan of any of the templates available. I googled free templates and came across a few I like. Do you know if I can use them with Office Live if so how or can I keep the domain I registered with them and find another host.

I like how easy it is to use Office Live with a business but I would like my website to look more professional since it will be a first impression and I noticed alot of the highly profesional and creatively done VA sites were not made with Office Live.

If there is a way to use Office live to is fullest creatively please let me know how. I would really appreciate it.

I didn't really investigate Google Live in any great depth, but I found Hosting Ireland quite good. Again, you may not be hugely impressed with the templates but you can mix'n'match them.

However, the main thing for you in New York will be the different time zone, but it may be of interest to VA's on GMT??

Ok Thanks i'll check it out.

I really wanted to try and use Microsoft Office Live because it seems very convenient for businesses can anyone help me with my concerns

I have Office Live too, and I hate it. I have had nothing but problems with it. I found a free template that I used with Kompozer to make a nice website. It wasnt too hard and took only a minimal of learning.

Office Live Technical Support will not help basic (free) users over the phone concerning the use of templates but there is a forum called Office Small Business Live Community here that you can access and find instructions how to do so.

You can also google for instructions. This question comes up often here.

I used Office Live to develop my website and thought it worked fine for my needs. This was my first website so I needed something user friendly. I agree that the templates are limited but they do have a templates gallery. One would think you could download a template from another site there. Just a thought...
