Default Home Page vs. About page
Hi,

can you guys tell me what info you would put on your Home Page compared to your About page. My mind keeps messing with me what should go where.
Thanks so much !!

I've viewed dozens of other VA sites to see how they categorized their info. Here's what I've found:

Home Page - most commonly this page is used to educate the potential client about what a VA is & how the client can benefit from using the services of a VA.

About Page - this page is used to list your credentials & experience.

Hope this helps.

Lezly

Well, that makes a lot of sense!!
Thank you so much Lezly. I feel kind of dumb having asked the question now. It seems so obvious now that you said it :-)
If I do it that way, I guess it would eliminate the need of a seperate page of "why hire a va", don't you think?

Hi Tanja,

I think that Lezly is correct. I always think of the home page like walking into an interview. You want to present a polished and professional image because that is the first page vistors will view and first impressions are lasting impressions.

Hi Tanja,

I agree the home page should tell the prospective client what you can do for them. A trick I used with my first home page was to use the content in my brochure and expand it. This really helped me to get pass what am I going to put on this blank page.
