I'm not sure if there is a post anywhere for this, but I thought I would ask. I am looking to find a logo program, preferably free, that will help me create my first logo. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you both for your suggestions. I did start out with Vista Print for my business cards as well as well as my thank you cards. I'll check them out with regards to logos!

if you want to create a logo then you can easily download GIMP and create a logo in there!

GIMP is technically a 'free' version of Paintshop, but is made by a different company... but the same elements are there

if you want some new fonts, try www.dafont.com to download; or if there's a particular font by a pop artist that you want to use, then google for the font - some of them are free to download!

as for images - make them as simple as possible - mine's just a star/flower from one of my fonts. But make sure that the image is royalty-free [i.e. clip-art] before downloading/using.

Try searching the Graphic Design section for threads that address this very issue - there are several out there! I built my own in a free graphics program (www.getpaint.net) but some of the threads have suggestions for free logo making software.
