Default Content Management Systems
Is there anyone on this site that uses Joomla? Also, if you build websites for clients using a CMS with a shopping cart, can you contact me via PM? I have a few questions and a dilema. I am unsure how to charge for this service and what I need to tell my client to do in order for them to accept payments on their site. This was requested after the site was created. They are under my maintenance plan so I want to do what I can to keep them happy.

As always...thanks

I've been hearing a lot about PayPal. There is another thread that talks a lot about using it. Maybe you could check into that

Hi there, we don't use Joomla but we build custom shopping carts and custom CMS. You'll want to contact Authorize.net about setting up credit card processing and a payment gateway, or as mentioned Paypal is an option. For both you'll need to be able to code. You will also need to be sure they have an SSL certificate for the site if they want to be able to accept credit cards.
Hope that helps

virtuemart integrates with joomla really well, but certain joomla templates may not play with it.... there are a few that do as well as the templates that come with joomla.

as far as what to charge, that really depends on how much customizing needs to be done and how the products will be loaded.... virtuemart also integrate with authorize.net and several other payment processors including paypal so it will really be up to the client to decide what they want.
