Default bitnami and wordpress
Hello All!

I have installed Bitnami Wordpress Stack on my computer so that I can work on my website on my computer before I ftp the files over to my live wordpress site. I have been asked to do a website (my first paying one) for a customer and I was wondering if I can start a brand new fresh wordpress site using bitnami wordpress stack. Does anyone have experince doing this ? What do you find is the best program to install on your computer to create multiple wordpress websites?

any thoughts and or advice would be great!!!

Hi Christina, great question - I've never worked with bitnami so can't speak to that but wanted to mention that when we're building sites for clients we generally do so on the backend of an existing site (out of sight), or on the doman itself (just don't go live) - that way you can check for browser compatibility, etc. as you go.

I don't know if that's the kind of alternative answer you were hoping for If not, perhaps my bumping the thread will bring someone along who can answer your specific question though!

Thanks Tess. Bitnami works in a browser and I have 3 different ones on my computer to test them before I FTP the files over. This is what I have been doing for my own site and it works great for me. I work on it on my computer and then just FTP the child theme over to my hosting server with the new changes that I have made.

I dont know how to do what you are reffereing to above, building on the backend or on the domain. I guess that would be a good thing to learn!

I am looking into WAMP as well and see if this will allow me to build more than one site on my computer.

Thanks!
