Default double-sided business cards
I want to print double-sided business cards and be able to design the front and backside of them, and the only good template I have found for doing so is through Avery. Has anyone else found another good site to use?

Hi Laura,

Try the templates provided by PrintPlace. Their templates are provided as a ZIP file and includes PDF, AI, and JPG versions of each template. As they state, I advise that if you use their templates, "Follow the specifications provided to ensure your artwork prints correctly."

I used them to create my business cards, and I had no issues with the layout provided.

Good luck with your choice!

Rhonda, I love using Avery because it is so nice to work through it. My only thing is, I am looking for a specific icon to put on my card and can't find it to place it and Avery is limited on the choices of designs. If I wasn't so darn picky about what im looking for then it wouldn't be so bad at all lol.

LeShante, I will check that site out and make sure to follow what it says. Your business cards look wonderful by the way too I never imagined putting a QR code on mine but it makes so much sense since everything is so hi-tech now.

I got mine printed through vistaprint. You can get a template from them. They also have rack cards going 50 for free right now. Their business cards are 50% off atm.

I also use Vistaprint for my double sided business cards and I'm very happy with them.

Laura, While I do use Avery. I never use their actual designs. I just download the template for the proper size and layout of the cards themselves. I create my own designs. If you are using word there is a setting where you check so that you can see the borders of the cards to ensure that you stay within your business cards frame.

If you go to the "Layout" tab and click on the "View Gridlines" in the ribbon that will display the dashed lines around your cards. These lines will not print they are just guidelines for you to follow.

Then you just create your design on one of the cards. Once you have it set up you can group it all together and then copy/paste it to the other cards.

I do the same thing as Rhonda for setting them up, designing my own front and back. And then use Avery business card stock made for printing on both sides. I rarely use business cards so this way works great for me as opposed to having them printed somewhere.

Thanks for the wonderful suggestions. It is very much appreciated. I am designing my own and just deciding how to work the back of my card then its on to my flyer and brochure and welcome packet. I forgot about how nice word is sometimes too to create things in. I like the ease of Avery very much and yes I realized after beginning that the templates in Avery were not what I wanted at all lol so I just used the size of cards I have and ran with it from there

I've been using VistaPrint for YEARS and I'm very loyal to them. I find their quality to be great, their prices to be unbeatable and their shipping to be quick. They've always done my two-sided business cards

I use VistaPrint too but I think they quality of biz cards is OK. The very best in my opinion is moo.com. Their Luxe cards are the thickest on the market, they really make a statement. One of my clients use them and when they handed me their card the first thing I said was, "wow who makes these cards?"

The card is really thick and the print quality amazing. Yes they cost more. My client had a photograph on one side and it was really nice.

The first couple of times I ordered business cards I ordered from Vistaprint but the other days I saw someone mention that Zazzle sells really nice business cards so I went to check them out and I love their business cards so much better than Vistaprint and just ordered myself a new set of business cards from them. I have to say I love the quality and the colors better than Vistaprint. Search for coupon codes because Zazzle often has sales.

I use MOO which I love as you can have different designs in one order. I think I have 10 or 11 designs I use.

Alternatively if you have Photoshop Elements you can use File > Picture Package and it'll put your design 5x2 on an A4 sheet which you can then use to print double-sided business cards.
