You never know where you'll find Potential Clients!
I was at the post office yesterday afternoon and the two clerks were helping me put stamps on about 150 letters I had to mail out for a client and my stuff was spread out on the counter. This guy came in to mail an item and we were joking about me being insensitive about taking so much space and both clerks' time - although one of them did help him. They were discussing delivery (he wanted the package delivered this morning) and when she asked about insurance he said no, it's just film; if it gets lost we have to go back to Georgia and re-shoot for about $300K. We all gasped and he said they had master tapes at the office. I asked about his business and he said it's home based. I gave him my card and said, "I'm a VA, if you need help, call me". He took it and said they could probably use about 10 people like me and I said I know them (hundreds here LOL). I got an email from him this morning and he's going to check out my site and figure out his budget so I may be getting a new client.
Moral to the story, never be shy about handing out those cards!
