Hello!

For a long time I've had Women Business Owners as my Target Market. However, in the past couple weeks I've been seriously considering making that as my secondary market and make Medical Industry the Primary.

The reason I've considered Medical Industry is because it's an ongoing and rapidly growing industry. Doctors office are always busy with patients and getting several new ones, and they tend to stay in business for a very long time.

I've thought about offering appointment reminder services, new patient packages, etc for these doctor/dentist offices.

I would love to hear your input on this! Or perhaps there's a couple of VA doing this exact same thing?

Yes, the medical industry is a potential niche. I worked for a licensed acupuncturist before handling all his online business.

I do think that's a good potential niche. I did a research project for a psychologist who wanted to know what his options were regarding hiring either a VA or a Virtual receptionist service to check his voice mail and send him his messages. He ended up hiring a VA and I believe he also has his VA working on other projects.

I think many therapists and other solo medical or mental health practitioners would really welcome the help once they are educated on what a VA could help them with.

Hot idea, I was a former Marketing Director in healthcare, and this led me to this industry. Marketing professionals in healthcare need help for sure! Dr offices are actually using some software programs now, that do essentially what you are talking about, it's just catching on!

As a prior medical assistant and front office assistant in a medical office, I can say the Medical Industry is a good target market. You can do so many different things from patient call backs, to preparing new patient packages to things you might not even expect. Like Desktop Publishing! I created a custom insurance/patient procedure form for a doctor in the early days of my business. The project was so much fun!

The possibilities are indeed endless. I will always have a major interest in the medical industry and I know, with certainty, if I ever wanted to make it a niche -- there would be a market.
