I have this idea for prospecting for clients and I wanted to get some feedback from the experts before I went any further.

Here's the basic premise, I send a prospect the following:

1. a timer (one of those little dollar store ones that has attached a clear label with my business info
2. instructions to set the timer for 60 minutes and track what they do
3. a copy of "what can a VA do in an hour"
4. some verbage that compares how much money they would have saved by hiring me to do it

So, do you think anyone would take the time to do this?

I was thinking of promoting it on my website as some kind of productivity test/quiz/something.

I think it might be a good idea, but I am not sure how to proceed.

Feedback and suggestions are most welcome.

I like it! Even if people wouldn't use it to actually track their time, it's definitely something different and creative that would get you noticed. It could be a good visual reminder that they could free up some valuable time by hiring a VA!

Sounds like a good idea. I would add that you send them a task tracking sheet and have them write down what they did in that hour and then to mark each item as whether it is something they truly enjoying doing or whether it is something they could see delegating to someone else....perhaps word it as...Mark each task as to whether you are passionate about doing that task or not passionate about it. THEN, tell them if they send you back the sheet or call you when they are done, you will assist them with determining which tasks you could help with so that they could focus on the tasks that they are passionate about and which are income producing tasks versus admin tasks.

You indicate that you would be sending them all these things, but I think you need to leave them with a call to action at the end of it all that preferably the call to action be that they contact you.
