Default Most Effective Marketing Strategy
What has been your most effective marketing strategy. Do you do cold calls? Do you work on referrals only? Do you use e-mails or mail outs? Door to door or do you stick to social networking sites?

I know it's a mouthful but any suggestion would be helpful.

Please let me have your thoughts.

Hello. I joined my local Chamber of Commerce and go to the networking meetings once a week. It has been a great opportunity for me. They also give you great tips on how to get new clients. The people are just awesome. If you have not joined your local chamber I would highly recommend it.

Welcome and Good Luck.

Bee - In-person opportunities like Bobbie describes are great, it's true. Overall, I'd say do everything you can, everything that comes across your radar, for marketing. Always have business cards handy and tell everyone you meet what you're doing. Be as active as possible online. Do it all, at whatever pace you can handle, and it'll happen for you.

I agree with joining your Chamber of Commerce. They offer a variety of ways to get involved. The more you are active with them after you join, the more opportunities you have!

I do flyers or postcards from time to time. It's a hit or miss. If I do a repeat round 3-6 months later, I will usually get a few inquiries. Again, hit or miss.

I have been receiving referrals lately from current clients. I would have to say that is what has been working for me lately.

I encourage you to keep up your networking and keep those connections fresh! You just never know when or where you are going to run into that next client!

Good luck!

I agree. It helps to know what others are doing. What works and what doesn't.
Much success to all.

For me it would have to be active participation in Social Networking sites. Twitter has been instrumental with the successes within my business.
