Default Marketing packet
I am getting ready to send out my packet of information to several prospects. This is what I have included in the pocket folder:

Brochure
Business card
About Us
FAQ
Service list
Benefits of using a VA
Client Profile sheet

Do you have an suggestions about what I should include or what I should take out? I have decided not to include my rate sheet. I would prefer to talk to them first before giving out that info.

Just out of curiosity - what's on your client profile sheet? (Is it for the client to fill out and give back to you?)

My suggestion is to include multiple business cards (like five) so that they have them on hand - the chances of it getting passed on to another potential client are greater.

The only thing I can think of for you to add would be client testimonials. These can be a part of the brochure.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will add several business cards. I do not have any testimonials, because I am just starting out a VA. On the client Profile sheet i am asking for the client/business info, project detail and the best time to contact them. I am asking them to fill it out and email it back to me.

I like what you have to send out to future clients. I also agree about the additional business cards. Maybe even a few flyers for them to share with other. I also like the form you have them fill out, I would suggest that they mail or fax it back. Not everyone will be able to scan and email back to you. I would also include a self addressed envelope for them to mail it back to you.

Just a little information to everyone, Office Depot will have their envelopes on sale for $1.99 for a box of 500. I will post when they have the sale as soon as they list it. Otherwise the box is $4.99 which isn't bad and well worth the money.

I'm getting ready to do the same thing. Just my two cents: Thanks for mentioning sending multiple cards out for sharing and testimonials. I think it is important, though possibly not the easiest solution to present your information with as much variety as possible so though it may not be the easiest solution, putting some info on a brochure is a good idea.

My only question would be: Would it be so bad to duplicate info on your website? I have FAQs on there and a client list and my intention is to use the phone and snail mail to get to potential clients but I don't want to be redundant.

I have been wracking my brain on how to start advertising in earnest and it all of a sudden occurred to me that business owners, unlike some high school teachers I've observed, don't spend their day looking at the internet; especially Facebook and Twitter but if I could get them on the phone then get something in their hands, that might be the way to go. I'm going to use my background in telemarketing and design and do it the old-fashioned way because I for one am sort of sick and tired of Facebook and I don't even see the point of Twitter really. So have fun, get creative, and show off.
