To Robin, same here, I live in a very small country town and business still have their secretaries run out and get them coffee.....very challenging circumstances!

I'm really enjoying this conversation. I'm new to trying to put myself out there. Where are you getting the potential clients that you're sending postcards to????

Before seriously considering this VA forum, I sent letters to a few churches requesting a Membership Services position. I have not heard from anyone... Maybe I should have sent a postcard....

I always include my phone number in any communication. I don't like it when companies only have their email and website address. I have used both post cards and letters and am still waiting for responses.

I prefer postcards, particularly as you can use an interesting/nice image on one side so people are more inclined to keep them.

Having said that, I have tried a couple of postcard mailshots and not had even a nibble, so I'm not sure I'll try another mass mailout.
