The amazing thing about their free products is the quality is quite nice!
Agnes, is the design process for postcards similar to the business cards? I mean, you can choose colors and fonts, etc.?

Jackie-- A friend ordered the magnets a year ago and I thought they were very flimsy and I don't know if the quality is different now.

Tess-- The design process is similar to the ones for the business cards re fonts and colors. Luckily I found a template that tied very well with my website and message, so I have great continuity.

I custom created my post cards in MS Word (using a table) and have them printed up at OfficeMax for .08/sheet. 'course, mine are in black/white on marble stock. They would be a lot more expensive if I added color to one side; the color copies would be $1/ea and the b/w side would still be .04 so each postcard would cost .26.

My postcards have my logo, the definition of office goddess, my tagline, and (hopefully) an attention getting paragraph at the cost of .02/ea. Yep, I'm cheap!

(oops - I forgot the stock which is .12/ea)

What is the catch with Vistaprint? Are the items totally free and we just pay shipping?

There is a small light logo for VistaPrint on the lower backside of any of the free materials, but it's minimal. That's all - you just pay for shipping

Most of my marketing materials have arrived and look great. The business cards even go with the theme of my website (such luck)

I ordered about $194 worth of stuff and paid under $20. Advice is to definately get on the email list and play around with the overlapping promotionals.

Now if I can get my groceries that way...

I also have an order on hold at Vista. To nervous to make the order. I was able to change the font on the business cards which was great, I also ordered a catalog and the free packet so I can see the quality of their work, signed up for the webinar.

Ah, don't be nervous..it's really good quality and fun to receive (and if you don't like them you can always order a new design!) Their products are really nice and it's great to open that first box of business cards with your name and practice info printed so nicely on there!

You're absolutely right - pretty much everyone feels that way at one time or another (even after we've been in business for a while!)
I just wanted to encourage you to ignore that feeling and take the first step - one of my own favorite 'first' things about beng in business was the biz cards.

Yep - there's a sense of "I DID IT!" when you look at your first business card for your own business! It is a real motivator!
