A recent post by Darlene about Google Adwords prompted me to post this information for those of you who want to know more.

Perry Marshall is arguably "Mr. Adwords". His website is loaded with helpful information about Adwords and he often runs free teleseminars on Google Adwords. Visit his website to get in the know. http://www.perrymarshall.com/

Howie Jacobson is a colleague of Perry Marshall. He has published an awesome book called Adwords for Dummies. It's *the* book on Adwords right now and it's available in paperback from your local bookstore or online store. I own this book and have read it. It's a good read and very thorough. Howie also has an informative website called AskHowie

Both of these gentlemen write email newsletters. I subscribe to both of them and highly recommend that anyone interested in becoming Adwords savvy, subscribe as well.

Thank you for sharing this information with us. I keep reading about Adwords but every time I've looked into it, I've thought "I'm too dumb to learn this right now." It looks like a totally foreign language to me. I am one of those dummies who will definitely benefit from the book. There are just some topics that I need explained to me in a really simple and easy to understand manner and Adwords is one of them!

I've heard of Adsense. Is it similar. I have a packet to read on it that I still need to get to. I planned on asking around here to find out if this is legit. (I'm now into the marketing portion of my business plan.)
From what I understand, by putting advertisement on your webpage it increases traffic and when people click on the advertisement you are compensated a small amount of money. I didn't really notice to much of this on anyone's site from here other then the VA orginizations. (Which I click on when I see with the intent to earn you a few cents

Your assumptions are more or less correct although AdSense itself doesn't increase traffic to your website. Read this from Google about AdSense and how it works.
