I know some people have had good success with it. The trick is that you need to target your message as specifically as possible so that you get the best ROI and you don't waste money or pay too much. Keep a close watch on it.

I think you may have luck with it if you choose a more targeted campaign with adsense. Just my opinion.

If you want to learn more about adwords check out perry marshall's site. He is the go to guy for google adwords. (and Howie Jacobson) Howie Jacobson has a great book called Adwords for Dummies. I have it, I've read it and it's great. Informative and easy to read.
