It seems all of the magazines these days are talking about ways that we can help the environment by going green. This got me thinking about how Virtual Assistants are also helping the environment.
Let me know what you think when you read my latest blog post.
Just read your blog and what to say Wow! I never thought about some of those things, but you're right! VAs do save a lot in working at home Great article! Thanks for sharing it.
Yes, this is an excellent marketing angle to be sure - there are also numerous "green" printer paper and office supply companies; a VA who truly adopts the green movement in her practice (even above and beyond the inherent fabulous side effects of working from home) has her next press release topic right there!

Hey Bette,
Great post! I've been thinking working on going more green myself. Lately, I've been attracting "Green" clients. I have one very dedicated "Green" client. Her beliefs in the environment are actually why she hired a virtual assistant. She really walks her talk and is inspiring me. She has found a local green printer that only uses recycled paper and special environmentally friendly ink, she even found a Web hosting company to host her Website that is solar powered. I never even thought of that one. She sends all her marketing materials via an e-package instead of a package in the mail. I think Virtual Assistants could really join the green movement and market themselves that way. I love what you wrote about fax machines.
Great blog! Virtual Assistants make a huge difference to our environment without even trying so imagine what an impact we could make if we truly tried!! Very exciting possibilities!! My mind is whirling with ideas!! Thanks for inspiring me to go green!!

I like how you touched on the lack of disposable coffee and tea cups going into the landfill. Many offices still use "styrofoam" cups which is a huge :nono:
Going "green" is a great way to market your business and attract like-minded clients.

Thank you, thank you thank you. That was a great blog. My website and business colors are different shades of green, with a globe wearing a headset. I LOVE to use that post on my website. I am for all green. What a wonderful blog. i can't say it enough. I was writing something that energy conservation on my web, but happy with what i saw here.
