Has anyone here ever used freelance websites such as Elance or Freelance Designer.com? When looking at the RFP's on these sites, the bids that submitted usually number in the teens, so I'm wondering if it's really worth paying the monthly fee to have full access.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Theresa - There's a ton of talk on the Forums here about the freelance sites you mention. Many of us have used them to get started; but problems tend to develop eventually, and you may find you want to focus on building your business, rather than simply responding to RFPs. But do a search here for eLance or Guru.com or job listing sites ... you'll get an eyeful.

I have been focusing....intently...on building my business. I designed some brochures and had them printed on Vista Print then mailed them out to some local small businesses today. I also found a suggestion here on this forum about looking at the public notices for FBN statements and sent brochures to those companies as well.
I think I'm going to join the Chamber of Commerce as well. I'm thinking that will be money better spent.
