In case anyone is interested, I watched one of the lectures that Vocus offered and it was pretty good. The speaker was Tim Reis from Google, I can't remember his position, but he was pretty high up there. The advice was good, basically, go where your customer is, which although it may seem like obvious advice, is often pushed aside by companies because they don't want to change their MO. His big schtick was adapting your website for mobile applications. When you go to a website on your smart phone, often everything is way too small to read or click on with your giant thumb. So, if you want to make it easier for your potential clients to find out what you offer and contact you, you need to adapt to the mobile platform world. People are doing more on their smart phones today than ever before--he gave a startling statistic that I can't remember. My take away was, "figure out where your clients look for services they need, and get there."
